 Project Summary

The design-build team for this project, which included INTERRA as a key member, developed this $82 million ultra-high-tech training simulator of unprecedented scope and detail at the Navy’s only recruit training center.  Melding the best of entertainment technology, military training, design, and engineering; Battle Stations 21 includes a replica of a guided missile destroyer surrounded by water.  In a grueling 12-hour training “rite of passage,” naval recruits experience the sights, sounds, and smells of naval crisis situations. With the around-the-clock facility used by over 350 recruits at a time; durability, traffic flow, and attention to detail took on added importance.
