Full-Time Field Technician – Franklin, WI
INTERRA, Inc. is currently seeking full-time field technicians to perform Construction Materials Testing Services on WisDOT construction sites at our Franklin, WI office location. Responsibilities will consist of one or more of the following:
Qualified candidates must be detailed orientated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment. This position requires basic computer aptitude and effective written and oral communication skills. Candidates must also have a high school diploma or equivalent; possess a valid driver’s license (with a good driving record) and the ability frequently lift heavy objects weighing greater than 50 pounds on a daily basis. Some weekend and overtime work may be required.
The ideal candidate would have one or more of the following HTCP (WisDOT) certifications: PCCTEC-I, AGGTEC-I, CST, Grading Tech and/or NucDensity but we are willing to train qualified individuals. At least one year of field experience with the State or on Private jobs with concrete and soils material testing is desired. A personal vehicle/truck that can carry a wheelbarrow and equipment onto a construction site is a plus.
Pre-employment drug screening is required along with random and post-incidence drug screening specific to each project site. INTERRA, Inc. is an EEO employer.

INTERRA, Inc. is looking for a full-time Civil Engineer with a Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience in materials Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), and construction inspection. Project roles can include, Independent Assurance and Verification of QC/QA materials program for various government agencies; materials coordination and construction inspection; perform field inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and work with various Construction Management teams to ensure consistency and resolve materials related issues.
Required Skills and Experience At least 5 years of DOT related experience in roadway construction inspection and Materials QC/QA and related certifications. IDOT QC/QA Certifications is a plus. Professional Engineer License preferred.
