Recruitment Center, Great Lakes Naval Facility – Department of Navy

For this Naval Project INTERRA provided Quality Assurance services for a new Multiple Recruit Barracks Recruitment Training Center in Great Lakes, Illinois. Services included testing and inspection of concrete, soil, structural steel, rebar, mortar, grout, and a roof inspection. For concrete, INTERRA monitored concrete placement and performed concrete field and laboratory testing. They also completed concrete plant inspection. Concrete cylinder compressive strength testing was completed as well as floor flatness testing. For soil, subgrade inspections were conducted. For aggregates, sieve analysis was performed as well as fire safing inspection. Structural bolting and welding were inspected for the project as well.
