INTERRA, Inc. has provided Quality Assurance services for the Village of Burr Ridge for more than 20 years. The work has involved Quality Assurance involving concrete and hot mix asphalt (HMA). INTERRA’s role includes on-site material testing and material Quality Assurance for various routes located in Burr Ridge. Scope of work includes plant and field testing and Quality Assurance on HMA, plant testing on Portland Cement Concrete (PCC), laboratory testing on all HMA and PCC. Projects involve overall Quality Assurance and reporting. Material Quality Assurance Technicians used on this project are all PCC and HMA Level I, II certified by IDOT and have performed inspections on several IDOT MFT projects. Major projects included were north frontage road and various arterial streets. The challenges addressed consisted of helping the Village in developing and implementing new polymerized sand mix based on the project requirements. INTERRA has also provided Geotechnical and Environmental Engineering for various Burr Ridge projects.
