For these two CTA station projects, INTERRA provided Quality Assurance services. Testing and inspection duties were performed on soil and concrete. For soil, compaction testing services were conducted on the backfill, trenches, and footing bearing inspection. Compaction testing was performed on the base layer for under footings along with subgrade field density testing. Masonry grout and mortar samples were collected and transported to the INTERRA laboratory for additional testing. For concrete, rebar inspection, slump testing, cylinder sample collection was provided for slab infill, and samples were collected for a concrete pour. Duct bank and foundation concrete testing and sampling services were performed. Weld and bolted connection were inspected on the steel frame columns and the steel beams.
