INTERRA, Inc. was selected by Flood Testing Laboratories to provide Quality Assurance testing and inspection services for the University of Chicago Medical Center West Campus Center for Care and Discovery Parking Garage. This is an 872,300 square foot facility.
INTERRA performed testing and inspection services on both soil and concrete. For soil, visual inspections were conducted. Soil compaction was also completed. Concrete testing services were performed on slabs, columns, and shear walls. INTERRA verified the results for slump, air content, and temperature. Cylinder specimens were also made, stored, and transported to the INTERRA laboratory.
The parking garage will soon be registered with the Green Building Institute’s Green Globe Program.
